[VIDEO] It is difficult to defend #tinubu’s victory because of #election #hype in #nigeria – Lai Mohammed tells British journalist John Pienaar
He said this during his interview this evening at the TIMES RADIO London studio in South East London.
During the interview he insisted that the election was the freest and fairest election in the nation’s history but agreed that it is been difficult to establish the legitimacy of Tinubu’s victory as a result of the hype in the social media. He also claimed that the low voter turnout was as a lack of interest on the side of the voters rather that the suppression of voters which was experienced in most parts of the country, he added that most Nigeria get their voters card just to register their children into schools instead of using it to vote.

The Minister of Information and Culture in the Buhari administration Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who is on an international tour to repair the damaged image of the administration after February 25th Presidential election in which the Prof Yakubu Mahood INEC declared the APC Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner. This declaration has since been contested by both the popular demand of the masses Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the People Democratic party.
